My Journey
My journey with traumatic brain injury began just over 10 years ago with a random accident. If you’re anything like me, maybe you thought a bump on the head was not a big deal and tried to go about business as usual. After all, those athletes immediately ran back onto the field/court/rink and kept playing! Little did I know the far-reaching and lasting impacts that fateful accident would have.
Countless struggles, ten intense years, and thousands of rehabilitation exercises and therapy sessions later, I decided I was ready to re-engage with my career meaningfully. After vocational counseling and much debate with dear family, friends, and myself, I decided coaching was the right option for me.
I had expanded my empathy and deepened my understanding of resilience, adaptation, and how to move forward in nonlinear and unplanned ways. This personal growth informs how I support others in navigating complex change. This work also allows me to leverage my unique understanding of post-TBI life, and my desire to help others. It fits because I like to see results and progress, and coaching is all about growth and forward motion.
Today, I blend my personal experience with my 20+ years of training and development work and Master’s degree education to provide transformational coaching to adults with traumatic brain injury and anyone else who wants to build confidence, clarity, or resilience in their lives.
When I’m not coaching, I:
